What food will i find in Gozo?

Being a small island in the Mediterranean, seafood is always on the menu. The Maltese also love their bread, large rustic loafs will be placed on the table in nearly all food establishments and a Goziton pizza can be slightly different with the addition of potatoe. Honey is a local product produced in Gozo, you must sample this sweet treat while you are in Gozo along with other local products such as chese and oil. Rabbit is the national dish of Malta, in most restaurants you will have a variant of a rabbit dish on offer from ragu or ravioli to just fried rabbit. Being the Mediterranean, they produce some fabulous fruit and veg, particular favourites are juicy tomatoes and stuffed marrow.
Where is the best place to eat in Gozo?

Take your pick from an array of restaurants offering some great food. If you like to sit back with a coffee and people watch then one of the palazzo's or main square in Victoria is perfect. There are some great restaurants in all resorts, Marsalforn and Xlendi have a host of restaurants lined along the waters edge with plenty of choice from fish, maltese and international cuisines where you can dine al fresco with the sound of the waves washing gentle beside you.
Where is the best place to drink in Gozo?

The local band clubs are always good fun, and normally cheap! You will fnd lots of bars showing live sport, football is a big passion for the Maltese with games from mainly the Italian and English league being shown. The seaside towns of Xlendi and Marsalforn provide more vibrant nightlife compared to other resorts with Gozo's capital Victoria offering a number of drinking establishments.

The local beer is Cisk and Malta has some very good local wines.
