Disabled Friendly Hotels in Malta

What to consider when booking a disabled friendly holiday?

Some of the key things to consider when booking a holiday is not just the hotel but how you are going to travel to and from the hotel in Malta.

Accessibility Services such as airport assistance is free of charge and can be organised by Malta Direct with the airline. Subject to your specific needs, some medical forms for the airline may need to be completed, if you are taking an electric wheelchair or mobility scooter, some further information will need to be provided (note certain specifications must be met such as size, weight and battery type restrictions for carriage to be approved by the airline).

Transfers are available for anyone with wheelchair requirements. If you are wheelchair bound then specially adapted transfers can be organised. If you are taking a mobility scooter subject to the size and weight this can be carried in a standard transfer.
Walking aids such as crutches or walking sticks can be taken on flights and transfers. Manual foldable wheelchairs can be taken on board and in transfers, however, please ensure to notify us before travel.

You must be self reliant and independent to travel by yourself which includes communication, breathing, feeding, toilets, and medication.

To help us ensure your holiday is as easy and smooth as possible, we do ask you to notify us of any requirements prior to booking.
